Do you enjoy training childcare providers and preschool teachers on various topics? Would providers in your community like information on how to encourage healthy habits with their preschoolers? If so, you may be interested in becoming a BE ACTIVE KIDS TRAINER!

Since Be Active Kids is a statewide program, Trainers are volunteers who share this curriculum with childcare providers and preschool teachers at the local level. There are no specific qualifications for becoming a Be Active Kids Trainer. We do ask that our Trainers commit to training at least 20 North Carolina childcare providers or teachers on the program within one year of their train the trainer session. The curriculum is designed for four and five year olds, so we also ask that the providers or teachers trained only work with this age group.

SPRING 2009 TRAIN-THE-TRAINER SESSIONS

We are accepting registrations for Be Active Kids training sessions and look forward to providing a session near you.  If you work with child care providers, Pre-k and/or kindergarten teachers, or afterschool staff you may qualify to receive this free training.

This is a five hour training which provides you with the information and materials needed to train child care providers and teachers how to effectively use the Be Active Kids curriculum.  Check below for a location near you and contact the Be Active Kids Program Specialist at 919-287-7012 or click here to send and e-mail.  If you are unable to attend one of the training sessions below let the program specialist know of your interest in a training session in another location.
